Golf Fitness Evaluation
The Golf Fitness Evaluation is comprised of functional evaluations to determine a golfer’s functional stability, mobility, and balance patterns. A golfer's deficiencies in stabilization, mobility, and balance affect the foundation of the golf swing. These physical limitations lead to the 12 most common swing faults. This fitness evaluation is designed for the beginning golfer or a golfer who is beginning a fitness program.

Custom Foot Orthotics
Foot pain among golfers is common due to many factors in the game of golf. Walking on uneven terrain, the rotational effect of the golf swing, miles of walking all contribute to an over-use situation which can affect the feet. Common foot issues include plantar facilities (heel pain), arch pain, metatarsalgia (fore foot pain) and knee pain. Providing proper support with foot orthotics can go a long way toward eliminate most foot discomfort.

Foot stability is the basis of a great golf swing. Custom foot orthotics provide a more stable platform for the feet and can improve your golf swing. It is important to note, however, the USGA does not allow you to “create a stance” by altering the shoe or using an insert which is designed to specifically affect the golfer’s swing. Your custom orthotics from PTSIR are designed to minimize the biomechanical faults of your feet.

Massage Therapy
Our certified massage therapist addresses a variety of conditions that affect the golfer. The most prevalent is stress related tension. Sports massage can be used as a means to enhance an individual’s performance and reduce recovery time during training or after an event. Golfers have discovered that specially designed massage promotes flexibility, avoids fatigue, improves endurance, helps prevent injuries, and allows the golfer to train more efficiently.
A massage session can be scheduled at our Hazel Crest or Tinley Park locations by appointment.
